Coniston Country Cottages is based at the Wheelgate B&B at Little Arrow, just South of Coniston Village.  To find us follow the directions below.

ARRIVING FROM THE SOUTH

Leave the M6 at Junction 36 and follow the A590 towards Barrow-in-Furness. After 3½ miles you will need to turn off to continue along the A590 as the road becomes the A591. Continue to follow the A590 for a further 16 miles. At Greenodd turn right onto the A5092. After 2 miles turn right again onto the A5084. Follow this road along the side of Coniston Water to a T-junction in Torver. Turn right onto the A593 and follow the road towards Coniston for about half a mile. Little Arrow is a small hamlet on the left. The guests’ car park for Wheelgate is on the left hand side immediately after the roadside sign.

ARRIVING FROM THE NORTH

Leave the M6 at Junction 40, following signs for the A66 to Keswick. After 13 miles turn left onto the B5332 which, after 4 miles, connects to the A591. Follow the A591 for 10½ miles through Grasmere to Ambleside. At Ambleside follow the one way system through the village taking the A593 to Coniston. Follow this road, through Skelwith Bridge, for about 7 miles to Coniston village. At Coniston continue on the A593 over the bridge and through the village. Follow the road towards Torver for about 1½ miles. Little Arrow is a small hamlet on the right. The guests’ car park for Wheelgate is on the right hand side immediately before the roadside sign.
